Comparing how a pension fund is performing

Just wondering if anyone has some good advice as to where/how to be able to look at how a pension fund is performing against others in it's sectors.
I currently have a group personal pension scheme arranged through my company with Aegon Scottish Equitable, where all funds are currently invested in the "default fund" selected by my employer - their universal lifestyle collection. I have the option to switch and diversify the range of funds within aegon scottish equitable, but am struggling to find somewhere that i can compare how the various funds are performing in their sector and look at what their aims and strategies are.
If anyone could give me some pointers as to were to start looking it would be much apreciated.
