Additional Income

Hi All

I know there have been a few threads about second jobs and stuff like that for people trying to get out of debt

I am due to finish a course soon which has been taking up a lot of my free time, time I could use potentially to earn some cash. I don't really fancy bar work or anything if I'm honest but I am an experienced PA/Secretary (10 yrs) and it'd be great if I could find some typing or other secretarial sort of work like that I could do from home in the evening or weekends or both

Anyone got any experience of doing this? Not sure how I'd go about it

Thanks :)

Have a look at the UP YOUR INCOME board

There are a few tips hidden in there, but as for doing typing at home etc - that can be hard to come by. Companies that advertise these types of jobs often require a fee up front - avoid at all costs.

Some people are VA's (Virtual Assistant's) but i believe you need to register as self employed (and remember to keep back about 20% of earning for tax). There are sites such as elance that look for various tasks to be done, but there is alot of competition and the pay is not that good. Can be quite hard to get jobs there.

Hope this is ok as a start for you. Good luck.
