I want to buy a Good but not too pricey hoover - i am not a great fan of Dyson as my mum has one and i dont thing the suction is that brilliant.....i got a cheapish one last year but it is awful, doesnt suck anything up lol.....just kind of chews on my carpets!Whats the better choice (and the difference?!?!?!) between a cylinder or upright??? I am pretty sure a bagless is better but is it???
Cheers guys!

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Just bought a vax perfomance pets bagless cylinder from argos. It was half price at £74.99. Thought it would be good as it was 2400 watts but it doesn't even compare with my 15 year old Dyson.0

Don't buy a Dyson, I had one, and it was heavy and didn't suck properly!
I've got a Henry now, and wouldn't have anything else. It sucks really well, clears up most stuff, and if you go to Viking Direct at the moment, they are £89.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

I totally agree with this, I had a Dyson & hated it as I found it was heavy & I had to have it replaced twice in 2 years, I've now had a Henry for approx 3 years & I love it, it's pwerful & easy to manoeuvre.
