...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Yep put myself on the roll of honour.
Thanks guys, I've been away so long, I'd forgotten how supportive you all were.
What's my secret? Snowballing and not being too strict with my budget.
For years and years I have been trying to loose weight and ended up getting referred to a fantastic dietician. She showed me how to loose weight and keep it off by not binging and then purging. She told me that if I really fancied something then I should just have it. By changing my way of thinking I was able to loose weight and keep it off for the first time in my life. So I decided to be the same about paying off my debts.
I allowed myself a realistic going out, spends and clothes budget each month and having this kept me on the straight and narrow. They were £50 clothes, £61 spends and £50 going out. Generous compared to a lot of others I know.
Anyway, I allowed myself to borrow from these pots to pay for items from another ie if I spent £60 on clothes then my spend would reduce to £51 etc. Knowing these budgets were generous I never allowed myself to go over.
This really worked for me, although I appreciate that not everyone has this choice.Debt at LBM (March 2006): £30,000

Oh don't worry, I will! Never, ever going there again! I don't even have the urge to go and spend now like I did.
The debte was all mine and I had it before I met hubbie to be. I was determined to pay it back before we got married so that we could start our future together without debt.
Bless him, he has been saving hard and has the money put by for the wedding. I'm now going to be able to pay my share into the savigns account and I can't tell you how good that feels.Debt at LBM (March 2006): £30,000
