Dear all,

I have just been appointed a new job with a starting salary of £40157. Can anyone tell me how much I should be taking home after tax espcially as I may be paying higher tax?

My tax band is 520l?

By mine and Gordon Browns calculations you should be worth about £20 a week after paying for some countries debt or contribution to a war. If wise you can bank this, and at the end of the fiscal year it will only have lost about 3%. In 7 years or so you could buy a Hyundia.
