Taxation in the UK comes in many forms, but has anyone realised that we are shafted?
We get a tax free allowance, or do we?
earnings below around £5K are pretax level, but wait a mo, VAT is a tax on income at 17.5%. Petrol, 82%, cigs 70%?? booze 75%, councli tax of £1K is 10% if you earn £10k pa.
then above your tax free level you pay another 20%
Energy tax on power and gas, plus an environment levy,
Add on Insurance premium Tax
Road tax
Airport duty, for those who can afford it
How much are we paying? has anyone worked it out? Certainly the less you earn the higher a percentage you pay. A drinking smoking driver on an income of around £12, 000 must be paying around half of his meager lot to Gogs Broon, is this right, dont we have a human rights act
Why are we taking this, does anyone fance a revolution?
Does anyone have the time and patience to calculate this?
I for one am bailing out. My country is unaffordable, unhospitable, and this will get worse, until we all stand up and fight back against it.
