Hey everyone!
I'm about to apply for loan to consolidate 2 northern rock loans. NR originally said I could merge the 2 and extend the loan term, but keep my original interest rate I got at the time.Anyway NR now aren't offering any more loans, so ive got to apply through someone else.
I did try HSBC and TheAA (on the same day - bad i know) but got rejected.
My experian score isnt bad, but my equifax one is better. I want to apply for a loan with a company that only uses equifax, as i think my chances are better.
I have checked MSE and which lenders use which credit ref agencies etc and the only one shown was Cambridge BS -but they dont do loans???
Does anyone know of lenders, for unsecured loans, who primarily use Equifax???
Cheers

hi, this is taken from tesco finance .
Question:
What is a Credit Search?
Answer:
This is a search made on your name and all personal address details that have been provided in your application with a credit reference agency (Equifax) in order to assess your credit history. Our search will then be noted on your record with the credit reference agency (Equifax), to inform other institutions that we have requested information about you.
hope that helps. cheers dave.0 -
