original post has been updated with the latest finds - it would seem that Game and Gamestation have a fair few in stock for a pretty decent price, so that's looking like a good option at the moment!

The best shop guide has a number of options for getting the wii wheel.

Having searched all day for on online and getting nowhere, I got one easily enough at Toys'R'Us for £6.99 and that was an official one. Keep trying as they are out there.
