    Hi all

Even a twit like me knows that an IVA is an Insolvency arrangment as is bankruptcy. It is not an alternative to a Debt Managment Plan.

I have lost count of the number of people coming on here who have taken out an IVA without understanding this or the long-term consequences for their credit rating. And the number of times people have asked how they can get out of an IVA that is not working.

Please take advice from an independant debt charity (or three) even if you then decide to use a commercial company.

CCCS only recommend an IVA in a tiny percentage of cases.
As I mentioned earlier re my IVA, I'm one of those in that "Tiny" percentages, and that's only because I'd spent countless hours doing my research.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional
