How Many Flutes out of a Champagne Bottle?

Hi All,
Just wondered if anyone could tell me roughly how many 'flutes' worth of champagne you can get out of a standard size bottle? I have 2 bottles of champagne and am doing a christening for 65 people, so need to know how many more bottles I need to buy. (The flutes will be the plastic disposable type!).
Thanks,
Flis

Probably about 6 but it does depend what size bottle
(6 glasses from each bottle I mean)
Best to be sure, so get the bottle, check how many ml there are in there, fill a flute 3/4 full with water and measure the amount, then divide the bottle ml by the glass ml. Does that make sense?
edit... If it is 6, 65 divided by 6 = 10.83, so 11 bottles needed. (wasn't sure if you needed help with the maths or not)

It is good equitete NOT to fill a flute too full, max 3/4 or even 2/3 as this allows the aroma to be properly apprecieated (and prevents expensive waste in spills!), however etiquette also dictates you should allow at least one glass for toasts (if you are making more than one toast then some people have a habit of taking big mouthfuls & draining their glass too soon ; have someone on hand with a bottle & a open eye for this) and at least 2 glasses if you are serving on entry/whilst "circulating".

To make it stretch further and depending on the timing of the christening, you could do some bucks fizz. Or drop half a strawberyy into thebttom of each glass, makes it go a lovely pink colourand takes up space.
Have fun.0
