0% loan until 1st March - stoozing alternative?

I think it may have helped that I am an existing Cahoot customer with stoozed money in their savings account. Besides didn't you say you got a combined £18k? That beats me.Well done! So what are we doing wrong?
Now I just have to decide whether I have the cheek to take their loan money and add it to my Cahoot savings account!0 -
If you already have a flexible loan whats the best option, close the existing account then apply again or do you run risk of time taken to close account meaning new offer will already be closed?0

Martin Lewis, owner of this site, has posted just under 4000 times. He registered his username on 01/01/01.
Mr Shilling has posted nearly half of that amount and registered in September 2004.
Martin Lewis's posts help people.
Mr Shilling's very, very rarely help people.
Am I the only one who is thinking this?
You are not the only one.
I agree with you entirely................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -

Me too.
NB Cahoot say that if you have unused credit on their credit card, this could adversely affect the amount of loan offered, and they give you the opportunity to remedy that - whether they mean by cancelling/changing credit limit/spending something, I don't know. Probably any of those.
I left my empty card alone and got £5500 flexible loan. I wonder what might have been .....0 -
Mrs MMD has £17k of stoozed money in her Cahoot savings account and it didn't help her credit limit any!
I e-mailed about the credit limit and they said that once the account is set up, you can transfer limits between your accounts online (e.g. reduce credit card to £nominal and increase 0% flexible loan to £lots)!
The "spare" £18k from the flexible loan accounts (mine and hers) will of course be joining the £17k in the Cahoot stoozing account after a brief sojourn in our current account.0 -
Not if you already have a Flexible Loan.Do you think this is for existing customers too ?This offer is available to anyone who doesn't already have a flexible loan.
If you already have a fixed rate loan, you maybe interested to know that you may also be able to open a flexible loan in addition to your existing account.0 -
My partner and I have both just been rejected - boo hoo... but that may be because we have been applying for credit cards like they are going out of fashion (I love stoozing!) in the last week or so.
We have managed to acquire about £40k of credit between us in that time so we are not too bothered about Cahoot.
Note to self: Must not apply for any more products for at least five months... let my credit file recover!
Neither of us have any other products with Cahoot...
Edit: I was wondering myself what Robert Shilling's game is... I used to use this board loads about four months ago but then the IT department at work decided to block it and it has only been recently that it has been unblocked (don't know why). Anyway, when I started using the board again recently I noticed his comments and thought "I don't recognise that name" but then I saw how many posts he had! I thought I must have just missed him before. But no, he only registered in September.
Robert, is this all you do with your day? Are you trying to set a record? You are pretty inoffensive (there's only been a few posts that have been too much) so you can carry on for all I care but I think you should come clean! What is your game?I'm married now! Yippee!0 -
I am getting SOO frustrated with Cahoot over this >:( Sorry, this is going to be a long post!!
Both hubby and myself applied on 2nd November, he got accepted for £10000, 6.9% after March, I got accepted for £7000, 11.9%!! after March.
Paperwork for both arrived very quickly, husbands asking for 2 forms of ID, mine not asking for any ID - I already have a Cahoot Savings Account.
Sent paperwork back as requested, husband all set up by 5th November, and money already in our current account - well now on its way to savings
6th November I got a letter - "please send 2 forms of ID". Rang them straight away to say they hadn't asked for ID, and they said I should not have been asked as I am already a customer. They then sent me an email saying someone would contact me shortly to give me an update on progress.
No-one did get back to me, so I rang again on Tuesday. "Yes you do have to send in ID". OK, I could have done that Saturday if they had informed me correctly.
Bank/Credit Card statement as first form of ID - no problem. Now comes my dilemma -
Second form of ID either:
Council Tax Bill less than 6 months old - does anyone who has not moved house recently got one of these - they all come out in March.
Mortgage Statement - house paid for - no mortgage.
PAYE Coding Notice less than 6 months old - OK I'll send that. When I dug it out I find it is dated January, and Inland Revenue confirm this is the last one they have sent me. They are sending me a new one, which could take 10 working days.
Told Cahoot I have the original Council Tax Bill, plus a recent reminder, could I send both? No not acceptable.
By the time I eventually get this loan I will probably only have 3 months at 0%, and then will have to pay it back because 11.9% is ridiculous. I am beginning to wonder if it is worth it - except they will have already credit checked me, so that's another search on my file!!
Sorry, told you it was long.0
