Hi i will be going to sheffield next week for the preview opening of wagamamas.
I am aware that parking in waitrose carpark will give me 2 hrs parking free with an instore purchase.
It is quite likely it will take more than 2 hours as there is some shopping involved aswell.
Are there any other places that give free or cheap parking?
I have worked out that parking in meadowhall and going to sheffield will cost £2 each for 2 of us so £4 total.
I guess what i am looking for is free or cheap parking at not more than £5 for a couple of hours CHEAP IS GOOD FREE IS BETTER.
Anyone know how long you can park at the tescos carpark on ecclesal rd?
Thanks
Yorkshirepud.

Probably cheapest if you don't know Sheffield well is to park at Meadowhall and get the tram in. Quite a few people do this-park for free near a convenient stop on the tram route and get an All day saver. It also means no fight to get out of town and you can take your time for the price of a tram ticket.
Depends where you are coming from as to where is the safest and most convenient place to park. Some places where the tram goes are a bit risky car wise if you intend to leave the car all day, others are fine.0
