Switch to Sky - but what's the best deal?

Door to door salesman came round the other day while I was out and I came back just in time to stop OH putting pen to paper to sign up for Sky. we're with Virgin at the mo and have the full most expensive package which costs approx £97 per month. If we switch to Sky he says he can do it for £81 including the Setanta subscription. Plus we'd have to pay £199 for HD box and £30 set up which OH reckons we'll recoup in about a year and after that we'll be paying about £20 a month less. Is this a good deal? anybody seen a better deal. We're about to buy a new TV - are there any good deals including free Sky does anyone know? We're sick of the Broadband we get with Virgin so this is the main reason for wanting to switch. Thanks for any help

There are various ways of signing up to sky its just whats best for you at the time, go to the referers board and there is a sky thread which might help you with what offers are going around at the moment. We were lucky and got an offer of 1/2 price for the year also on equipment too going via a code from the referrers board but the deal was gone when my friend signed up she managed to get £50 vouchers for her and £50 for me but when her mum signed up her mum got a free sky+ box.

Sorry i should have put a link in, but if you look a few threads down from the grabbit board the you find the referals board and the sky thread is there but being a few pages back i dont think there is too many offers at the moment. Good luck;)
