Low cost Benadryl, it's nothing to be sniffed at.

As the hayfever season approaches us here in the UK, i for one stock up with a mountain of tablets and potions to try to combat it. However whilst shopping in Tesco today i noticed that they had packets of Benadryl containing 12 capsules per packet on special offer at 99 pence per packet. The same packet of Benadryl was for sale in Boots next door to Tesco for 2 packets for £6.00 ? With this in mind i raced back into Tesco and bought up 12 packets which should see me through the worst of it.
Compared to the Boots price i saved a massive £24.12 which is definately nothing to be sneezed at.
Also picked up a Goody bag, but the best bit is the lady at the pharmacy said the next goody bag to be given away is a hayfever themed one.

Hi Skippytoroo- very seasonal post. What is the sctive ingredient in benadryl? As most supermarkets sell Loratadine ( clarityn) and certrizine, unbranded for 69-99p year rouind- There is a thread on the health money saving section about how to get these really cheap too.0

There are several different Benadryl products with different active ingredients. However, the one I find most effective is Benadryl Allergy Relief which contains Acrivastine. AFAIK Pfizer (the owner of the Benadryl brand) still has exclusive rights to produce this drug so there is no generic equivalent and prices are usually quite high.
If you've found Benadryl Allergy Relief for 99p you're doing very well.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
I am so thankful for acrivastine. I have had severe hayfever for 10 years - even blisters in the eyes , but the sneezing has been really getting on my nerves and acrivastine is the first drug to have the slightest effect on it. If anyone finds a good offer on this variety of Benadryl PLEEEAAAAAAASSSSEEE let me know! There are 2 for £6 offers everywhere but anything better than this would be greatly appreciated. Rebecca x.0

That sounds great- I'll have a go with that today, as loratadine only helps me a bit.0

I'm currently looking for Cheap(er) Benadryl Plus - for me its the only thing that works, I am hearing that boots no longer sell as it is going to be banded, they no longer sell it on-line also. Benadryl doesn't touch me but the plus does, so if I can find this cheap I will stock up on it....0
