    I'm buying a house at the moment and the surveyor downvalued it from £287.500 to £270,000 saying that you have to be cautious in this market. But the seller isn't budging (at the moment). So we'll see...

    How can the seller not budge if the valuation from the surveyor came in lower??:confused: Does he thing another surveyor will value higher?

    My point exactly. Unfortunately EA is (as would be expected) on vendor's side, so it's just a waiting game. Money earning interest in the bank, so no real loss if it doesn't all work out...

    Well, you'll just have to increase your deposit a bit, won't you? :)Or perhaps you should reduce your over-inflated expectations of what you can afford to buy.

    or the greedy seller can keep it on at that price for the next few years while hoping to find a buyer.
