Am I a First Time Buyer?

Around 18 months ago, I bought a property with my (then) girlfriend. Unfortunately, the relationship ended, we sold the property, took our respective cuts of the profits and went our separate ways.
I am now looking to get a mortgage as I get my life back on track, but would I be considered a first time buyer by any brokers (e.g. HSBC - as they seem to have some good fixed rate deals at the moment)? Obviously, any advantages I have as a result of this would be welcomed.
As an aside, I have 15-20k as a deposit (always like to hold something in reserve - 20k is EVERYTHING) and am looking to get a property for around 140k in Scotland. I am in steady employment (touch wood - it's secure, but there are no guarantees in life, right?) and earn 30k. Would like a fixed rate deal. As I said, HSBC seem to have some good ones, but I am looking for other suggestions, too.
ANY feedback is welcomed. Thanks guys, long time reader: first time poster.
