Rejected change of name on business account?

If you didnt already hold personal accounts with Barclays then they would credit score and treat you as a new customer.they said they couldn't elaborate because of the "data protection act" (typical corporate bullsh*t cop-out, what they can't discuss with the account holder whey they've been rejected?! please).
They cant discuss it with you as the staff are not shown the data with a reason why it is refused. They are given a quick summary reason which can be as little as "failed to credit score" (or similar).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
