Over cooked chicken!!!!

Oops, I put a small chicken in the oven to cook for tomorrow's tea and I completely forgot about it!! :o

It's been in about two and a half hours on gas 7!!! It's definitely cooked!!!!

Can't believe I forgot it was in the oven! Looks like I'll be needing plenty of gravy tomorrow to stop us choking on the dry old bird!:rotfl:

Never mind, I'll just use it up with different sauces - I refuse to let it go to waste!

You could try shredding it down (a lot) and making a soup.

Melt a bit of butter in a pan, and lightly fry off a chopped onion, a chopped carrot, and a cubed up spud or two. Throw in the chicken, then about a pint of stock, herbs, salt and pepper and leave for an hour. The liquid should soften the meat again.... that with crusty bread? Food of the gods.
