just remember when your ordering anything of value that has a waiting time of weeks+ Please USE YOUR CREDIT CARD, as you get free insurance from your bank.
WHY? because if the company in question went into administration then you get no money back and no product! (credit card companies have to pay you money back, when using a debit card they dont).
:rolleyes:0 -

I got my suites from DFS on 4 years interest free credit a while back.
Still quite happy with them. they are made in Italy.0 -

SNAP, I have had 3x3 seaters, one single chair and 2x2 seaters off HARVEY'S over last 6 years...and one set of dining furniture, a mexican chest and a sideboard...no probs, fantastically helpful and great value compared to other retailers we have locally.
If you ask, they'll give you a discount for cash too at our store...gave me a few hundred quid on £2000 last time...
Oooo and the reason we have had sooo much stuff is not indicative of quality, it's cos we keep moving and people keep wanting to buy stuff in old houses, so we keep replacing!!!0 -
I think you will find on Leather sofas most places take up to 8 weeks for delivery, anyways we bought he Reno 3+2 set from Harveys over a year ago they still look like new there was a small scratch on one of the sides i rang up and a repair man came the next day and fixed the fault, a few weeks later our cat had put a scratch on one of the cushions
i rang up again and the repairman came next day again and fixed the fault even tho it was our fault cant say fairer than that

I rate DFS too, no experience with Harveys though. Can't fault the quality of our suite at all. They also delivered in the time scales quoted - very impressed. So much so that I will be ordering the sofa for my new conservatory from there.0

It all depends on the leather, some leathers are very good and others are full of veins which can split. So i suppose your either lucky or not lucky!!
Still think DFS and Harvey's are cheap and utter gangsters....Envy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0 -
Can't vouch for product quality, but the staff in Harveys seemed extremely pushy. We wandered round and lingered for a moment next to a settee we quite like, sale assistant was over like a shot, gave us a big long spiel and a demo of how waterproof it was, despite our best efforts to politely escape!
After this before giving us chance to say anything she said 'So so you want me to place an order for you then?' Well, we'd not got a word in edgeways or had a chance to think about it, so said no and got out quick. Even then she was going on about why did we want to look elsewhere - none of your business ;-)0
