Millets sale: discounted tents

For everyone planning a cheap get away this summer, Millets have knocked quite a lot of money off their tents.
I've ordered an 8 man Vango tent which originally was £299.99 and is now £149.99, saving £150!

There's lot of other savings to be made, including a 9 man tent that was £449.99, then was £379.99 - now £199.99
Now I just need good weather!!

I've just come home to an email saying the tent is no longer in stock. Absolutely heart-broken as had all these little trips planned and now no tent...
And sadly I had fallen in love with that tent0 -
costco have some "four man" tents which could EASILY sleep 10!! they were about £80 and usually good quality stuff from costco (ebay cheap too!!)

The Vango Vancouver? Don't despair...it's a regular at Millets for that price. It popped up on the website a couple of times last year. Bloomin good tent, btw, (I'm a dedicated camper and own several vango tents) and excellent quality. So just keep an eye out for it.Val.0 -

Take yourselves over to the UK Camp Site (UKCS) forums, biggest camping forum in the UK, and ask what they think of Costco and the Ebay cheapie tents, or do a search there. Then go and buy something else. Ebay is fine for brand name tents but just don't buy the ones that sound too cheap to be true...because they are indeed, too cheap to be true. And the last big Costco bargain turned out to be a tent made for camping in far warmer climates than the UK or Northern Europe.
The Vango above may cost twice what a Costco tent does, but you'll still be using it five years from now, and have been warm and dry all that time. Plus Vango customer service is second to none.Val.0 -
