Can i steam iron a suit?

Got a funeral tomorrow and need to get the trousers pressed. I do have a Steam gen iron would it be possible to iron them with this as have not got time to get them dry cleaned today.

Use a dry cloth - like an old sheet - between the iron and the trousers and they should come up well without getting shiny. Alway test on a small area first to make sure the heat isn't too high!0
