Sky/Freeview

In anaeffort to cut our outgoings we cancelled our sky subscription. We were given sky as a christmas gift for 6 months and i was under the impression that if we no longer wanted it we could cancel and just keep the freeview channels. Our subscription cane to and end today and we can't get any of the channels, it says there is a technical fault. Is this just a hitch in the change over or have i misunderstood and i need to by a new freeview box to receive those channels??

Hi,
Your skybox reverts to freesat box if you unsubscribe. You get pretty much all he same channels as you do with a freeview box with a couple of exceptions.
Have you tried switching he box of for 1 minute by the plug then swiching back on?
