That is a good price normally £342 to £400, best web price around £240 or £249 inc P&P. Good model very good review. Power efficient too won some awards.
Good find cheap to buy and run!
"The Panasonic TX28PN1 was the winner for the first EISA Green TV of the Year Award 2005/2006. The 50Hz TX-28PN1 offers high standard of image reproduction and includes the Quintrix Flat tubes for a picture guaranteed to impress. TX-28PN1 boasts a highly innovative design. Do Digital Direct allow you to pick up? I know I enquired about a company in Bolton and they didn't. I think it was this one.0 -
Thanks to Original poster, :T
I managed to get Comet to price match it as they only had 3 left in Powerhouse in Harrogate and wouldnt reserve plus I couldnt get there in time. As Comet also refund 10% of the difference I got it for £206 including delivery.0 -

£206 includes delivery (didnt fancy lugging it up 2 flights of stairs). Powerhouse delivery is £20 when bought instore. So would have paid £219.99 if Id bought from them. The 10% thing worked out that they gave me £108.91 off, not sure exactly how they work that one out but Im happy with the price.0 -
Thanks to the OP on this one.
Had a faulty Bush 28" TV to return to powerhouse for exchange so this TV seemed like a good choice.
However when I got to my local Powerhouse I was told that this paticular model was completely sold out, not one unit left in the UK I was told  . Began looking at the shelves for a different option when I noticed a TV that looked remarkably like the TX28PN1. :j
Anyway to cut a long story short it was the right TV and they had accidentally gave someone the one with in-built freeview!First time i've ever been glad that the staff in these places can be a bit stupid, sometimes.

Well if you missed out on this I wouldn't be too disappointed. If you can pick up the TX28DTM1 mentioned previously for around £250 delivered I would go for that. Having built in digital is a lot better than having an external box.0

Probably true but I already have external freeview with a built in hard drive.0

The original post was a good buy - just pointing out that with the integrated digital it's even better - so people haven't necessarily missed out on a good deal. In an ideal world (and if I was a TV addict) I think I would have an integrated TV AND an external freeview with HD so you can record one freeview channel and watch another.... plus I guess it's easier to record off an external freeview/HD box.
Having used an integrated digital TV I was surprised how much easier they are to use than TV + box - the downside is that I would be more likely to watch more TV because of this extra ease of whizzing through channels.0
