So you give them £5.99, and they give you a voucher worth £10 - assuming this is not an out-and-out scam, are they any catches, such as the voucher gives £10 off any purchases over £150, for example??

No you can't have a £400 voucher for £239 - they don't have that many vouchers on sale.

His e-bay feedback looks positive enough though though all very recent.

Wonder how he acquired them to sell?

sounds too good to be true.

There are companies out there that offer discounts on store vouchers but the max discounts are in the region 5 - 10% (and then you have to pay credit card fees and postage on top). A 40% discount is just to good to be genuine.

Hmm Heard about an ebay scam around xmas where some one was selling argos vouchers for around 50% of there real value. Turns out they had been bought using stolen Credit Cards - Once the retailer found out the vouchers were voided. Not that Im saying thats whats happening here mind just wouldnt want you buying useless bits of paper IYKWIM

It has the air of something like that. The seller has been on e-bay for some time 'in USA' but has only just started selling in the UK. He won't take paypal and his preferred contact is a scam rate mobile phone.

Maybe his satisfied customers haven't tried to use their vouchers yet - and he hasn't got around to using their card details to buy more.

Looks definitely avoidable - wasn't sure at first but it's looking dodgier as I think about it

yeah looks dodgy to me too, they wrote this in there listing:

WE DONT ACCEPT PAYPAL WERE NOT BEING RUDE BUT WHY SHOULD WE PAY MORE WHEN OUR MERCHANT PROVIDERS FEES ARE NOMINAL COMPARED AND THE BUYER IS COVERED BY £2000 WORTH OF COVER FROM YOUR CARD PROVIDER AS STANDARD

Looks to me like there gonna use your details for £2000 then u can have it back from thecreditcard company... lol
    I wouldnt trust it!

if its too good to be true it probably is

If someone offered you £10 new note for £7.50 would you accept it the same happens in the real world, for all you know it could be a clever copy
