Xbox & DVD's???

I believe that Xbox's don't play dvd's & to play them you need to purchase an Xbox DVD Movie Playback kit. Can someone please tell me, if this is still the case & where is the best place to buy them?

it is the case,plenty around ebay,games shops etc
or you could look into softmodding your xbox for under £20

You need to buy additional gear in either case it was just in case you had the standard xbox as I have a dvd playback kit I would have given you for free.

360's will play dvds as long as they arn't copied games. If they are you will need to mod your 360.

If you have an xbox 360, it will play dvd's without you having to get any additional stuff for it.

I seem to be getting different advise. My son has an Xbox 360, so he DOESN'T need anything else to watch dvd's or does he?

No you shouldn't. I have a 360 myself and as soon as i put in a DVD it gives me the option to "Play DVD".
