I have had 3 dropped - one with Hyundai Car Finance and the other two were small - Littlewoods and Look Again catalogues.

HOWEVER - I must stress here that I defended each CCJ claim that the CCA was not provided when requested and I also defended that my finances were such that I was planning on going BR.

Therefore I cannot state absolutely that my claims were dropped due to the CCA not being available - although in the catalogues instances I know that I have not signed anything and the car finance there was a CCA available, they just never supplied a copy to me - so I can summerise that the car finance supposed that it was in their financial interests to not bother pursuing and the catalogues could not legally pursue.

I only sent my first letter off last week so there's a while to go before I'll have anything to report.

Moorcroft returned mine to Cahoot. I've now sent Cahoot a CCA request. Alleged debt £800 ish.

Thank you Stapeley - it was your 'lets all request our CCA' thread that encouraged me to send off for mine.

    hi stapeley,
i asked for 5 CCA's. i actually only got 1 back. 2 triton DCA have gone back to RBS. Marlin notified me they didnt have it, and ive not heard anything form OC. Moorcroft also couldnt provide and again ive not heard anything from OC, 2 months later. i was about to start a post asking what i should do with the 2, as its always in my mind, and is a total of about 6k. i had CCCS up until october when they cancelled it so i could sort out mortgage arrears. i then waited for creditors to send letters saying 'missed payment' etc. 2 of the debts, owned by wescot dca, havent contacted me at all. i know its probably late in the day to ring and say 'oh ive missed ...7 payments' they surely know. do you think it matters ive not contacted them and them not me? i wouldnt want a CCJ dropping on the mat. ive not moved and havent changed my number so can be contacted.

I had one dropped (£3K) by First Credit management, who were working for Natwest, after they failed to provide a CCA

    Which was nice :rotfl:

Proof that it is well worth doing a CCA request if there is any doubt about a account !
