hello all newbie to this

hi ya all been browsing this part of the forums for a few weeks as me and OH has decided to get married in either september 5th or october 3rd next year , its on a low budget at a registry office at coventry ,i personally havent got that much family to help with costs, but we`ve said if we start looking now theres quite a few sales we can get things in , ive got 5 bridesmades but 3 dresses will be paid for for me, thinking of getting them in a department store in the sales , i have 5 pageboys which 3 will be paid for too but seen them for about £20 as there only little ones , flowers im doing myself we`ve picked orange silk lillies and only going to have two stems prettied up with ribbon same as bridesmaids flowers but they will be smaller flowers all together will be £30 , catering is been done from mil as a present for us, room for reception+evening is costing next to nothing as its a sort of pub with a lovely room we can decorate and pretty things up like tables chairs table decorations , dj is £160 , cars will be sorted as OH works at a prestiege car dealership so will get loans of some nice cars , cake is around £70 , theres only the photographer that will cost the most ,we are trying to have most things done this year so next year all we have to do is get dresses and suits , im really excited and all you`s sound really lovely , xx

I wish I was as organised as you and I'm getting married this August. As soon as I cross one thing off my list I seem to add another 3 on .

    I will get there eventually.

i think the wedding disaster dreams must wear off as I had them about a month ago. I dreamt my dress had changed into purple orange and yellow tartan when I opened the dress bag to get ready  (apologies if this is anyone's dream dress)!

Yeah, that's exactly the dress I have :p

I've had 1 dodgy dream but I was just stood at the alter doing my bit but not looking at my OH and as soon as it had finished I dashed off to check on a friend... I'm sure that would never happen, when he's around I think of nobody else ;)

hi ya thanks everyone i know it sounds as if im really organised but everything is on note paper in my head , so they`ll probally not go into practise as easy as i think , in a few months time i`ll probally be asking for chilling out tips due to the stress of it all :rotfl: , well my plan is to do one task a month ie; make flowers ( only silk ones) pack them away ( in MIL spare room thats going to be used as a wedding store) next month make invitations (not write out but have them all made )next month table decorations ect, ect i have enough family thats really good at craft so making things will be easy and feel more personal to us , im hoping that all the crafty , fiddly bits is done by this september !!!, then book all this from september till christmas: registry office cos can only book it exactly a year before and if im down there first thing on 5th sept this year i`ll get the pick of the times for 5th sept next year , reception it has been penciled in by a family member just needs official booking , book photographer , book dj , then after xmas all i have to do is look in the sales for bridesmades dresses , my dress ,grooms suit ,pageboy suits ,and all accessories ,
we have told everyone that is going to help us organise things that we dont want anyone to stress or bicker over the arrangements we want everyone to enjoy planning it with us and have fun helping
listen me miss calm and collected who am i kidding lol , just all you remind me of this post when im tearing my hair out and ranting about how stressed i am lol, i`ll keep you all posted on the plans and put some photo`s up of the latest creations , thanks girls xx:D :D:D

Ok, so I had a dodgy wedding dream last night, kind of... Dreamt the wedding rings had come and I kept trying to put mine on with my engagement ring, to see if it fitted and how it looked... But everytime I looked down I had his ring on and it was too big (Which is bizarre cos his fingers are thinner than mine lol)
