IKEA Belfast Sale this Saturday
Comments
-
I have spent the afternoon stocking up on everything we wanted in Ikea Belfast with no queues, no delays, peace and quiet.
They ran the sale ad in the Belfast Tele on the wrong day, so they have decided to honour the 21% discount today and tomorrow only in the Belfast store!
I had planned to go early tomorrow, but now I am a happy camper. If anyone else was planning on going tomorrow, I would go tonight instead or there might be no stock left
Also, if anyone is planning on getting one of their vans to bring things home, I was talking to Enterprise and they said they have had 15 reservations already for vans on Saturday.
Cheers, Des.0 -
whoever wrote that article in the telegraph im sure will be severly told off as the only reason they are honouring the sale today is because the telegraph have agreed to pay the 21% for today only.0

Anyone go??
My friend went and spent 4 hours. said the part upstairs was empty (apart from kitchens!) everyone was downstairs at the self serve bit. madness!!! Waited over an hour to get all the bits and bobs. Only 10 mins at checkout.
Still we are going over later tonight around 10pm as I want a few things and no way was I going there this morning lolNorn Iron club member - 2650 -

I'm wondering if I went to the same Ikea because it was packed when I was there between 10.45 and 12.30 today. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Well I braved it around 8.30pm. My friend never got parts of the bed earlier she bought and wanted to check if they were back in.
Car park just like a normal day, got a good space close to the lifts. No queues to get in and walking around upstairs was easy peasy lol Restaurant was emptyish too, plenty of tables. I have seen it worse.
then we went downstairs to the market hall, it was busy but just like a normal day. Come the self serve area, that was busy, no trolleys had to wait on them, not long though. Got some of the items my friend needed but not all.
Then the horror of the till queues, why oh why were 8 tills out of 25 open?? We queued from 10.55pm until 11.50 to get served. There were constant announcements saying the store was closing at 12 and due to legistation they could not serve anyone after 12!!! Now what happened to the customers behind us in the queue I dont know as they would have had a bit of a riot on their hand if they didn't get served after queuing for so long. :rotfl: I would love to know if they served everyone or sent them away!!! (I do know some supermarkets serve after 6pm on a sunday to get all the customers through)
But all in all it was no where near as bad as I had thought, any staff we needed were helpful:T
Best of all I bought some items....did I need them nah just because they had 21% off :rotfl:  :rotfl:Norn Iron club member - 2650
