In the past is been the case that if you don't top up one month you don't get the free text...but as soon as you put £10 on then you get the free text for that month only...anyone else any more to add to this...am I right?
Hi Pepperoni On the info sent it says you can either have a) 300 free uk text messages or 100 picture messages.
or
b)100 frre UK any net work, any tome minutes or up to 100 text messages or up to 33 picture messages.
The sim has been set to whatever offer you applied for. But you can call 2425 from your mobile and follow instructions or text ONCALLSMSG to 21300 for the call and message option or ONMSG to 21300 for the messsages only option.
It also states that you need to top up by £10 each month. If you don't top up before the anniversary date your calls/text etc will be chargable.
My original question was since I don't use £10 a month is this Sim card going to be any use to me or will I end up paying for all my calls any way.
How do other people get round this? or can't you?

yes - but these offers only stay for one day only - so it's useful to state the date so people can grabbit quick!

I top up maybe onces every two months with £10, as after the first month I have been mostly using the free texts.
O2 don't, in my experience, try to rip you off. They also have many features you can use which other networks don't have - like 1471 works (although you don't actually need it with a mobile) and you can disable voicemail by calling 1760 (so callers just hear "the mobile you are calling is switched off").
Hi Have you found that you still get the free texts/calls even though your not topping up every month.? it does say in the literature you will be charged for the calls /texts made if you dont top up within each month.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -
Gizmoleeds Thanks for the clear explanation, as you can tell I'm not very clued up with Mobiles.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0
