What do you dust with?

I have been using those disposable fluffy type dusters but now wish to use something I can clean and reuse. I'm asthmatic so want to use something that will trap the dust rather than just redistribute it around the room. So what do you use for dusting?
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Damp cloth usually a microfibre one works the best for me, I hate the thought of it just flying about the room as I have a son with asthma. One day I might be more organised...........

I should perhaps add that quite a lot of my furniture is waxed wood.We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

I also use a damp microfibre cloth to dust and polish as the dust sticks to the cloth and then you can just wash it in the machine as apposed to it flying all over the room. Just be warned dont wash the cloths with fabric softner as it stops them working properly. Took me a long time to figure this out and kept having to buy new ones all the time. lolOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 086Proud to be dealing with my debts !Total Debt: Was £6368.84  now £945.36Sealed Pot Challenge 049 Aim £5000

I thought this thread was called "What do you do with dust". I thought we were going to have some uses for dust then.
Phew."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
I use a damp microfibre cloth for all dusting.
My indian waxed wood tables are fine with it.0 -
Yep, damp microfibre cloth here too.
You could always go over the wood furniture with wax polish every so often, just to protect it.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

A huge fluffy ostrich feather duster, bought from the Flylady site in the days that money flowed through my fingers like water!!
I still love it, though! It has a huge wodge of purple feathers in the middle and just looks so camp and OTT0 -

Yes, apart from white sport ones which leave more speckles than you take off :rotfl:
My dog ripped my real feather duster to bits when she was a puppyI will buy another one, well when the pennies allow, they're just really expensive!
