Getting married - do i need to change names on deeds?

Hello.
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on my situation.
Currently have a mortgage on a house I share with my partner and our two children. We are getting married in 5weeks and I was wondering if I HAD to put her name on the deeds/mortgage after this?
It's not soemthing she has requested and if anything did happen in the future (pessimistic i know lol) we would just sell the house and move our separate ways anyway.
All Im really concerned about is if there is a legal requirement to put her name on the deeds or can I keep it in solely in my name until the time comes to remortgage? Just want to avoid paying to update our details if I can if it has little or not effect on our situation.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hi
You don't HAVE TO change the deeds at this stage - I would leave it until the mortgage comes up for renewal if both of you are happy with this arrangement.
Being married would give you and your partner rights over joint assets anyway in the meantime.
Hope this helps. An economic forecaster is like a cross-eyed javelin thrower : they don't win many accuracy contests, but they certainly keep the crowd's attention !:rotfl:
Money may not buy happiness - but misery comes free with debt.:o0 -

Yes thanks thats a big help. Thats all I wanted to check. If she is entilted to (at least) half if we split up, doesnt seem any point spending money when it doesnt have to be done.
