in Cutting tax
My father wants to give me some money, he lives in Germany and I live in England. I was thinking to go to an accountant for advice but having not dealt with one before can anyone point me toward a good one?

I think your concern is about Inheritance Tax. You would not be liable for tax on any gift your father might give you in the UK.
I think your father needs to consult a German accountant to find out whether it affects his tax situation in Germany.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
