Need advice on mortgage applications please

Hi,

I'm really hoping someone on here can help me. I'm looking to buy some land to live on in a static caravan. What I really want to know is......is there anyway I can check whether or not I would be approved for a mortgage without a credit check being done as I know too many credit checks can have an adverse effect on your rating.

I've just split up with my partner and the rent on our house is too much for me to pay alone (it is a 1 bed so taking in a lodger is not an option). I have previously had debt problems but as far as I am aware these have all been paid off now - the most recent was last week. My experian credit score is 800 and most of my bad debts were not listed on my credit report. The total amount I owed was less than £8000.

I work for an agency, will this affect my chances of mortgage approval?

Thank you in advance for any advice offered  I'm really a bit lost as to how to begin trying to get my life back on track - securing a place to live seems to be the best start!
