well, I did eventually get a call from M&S CS this afternoon to tell me that the egyptian bathrobe I ordered just over a week ago is not actually in stock. fine, no problem, was expecting that (thanks to furrypig for the warning!)

BUT! checked my account statement online tonight and guess what! have been charged £8 (persumably for the non-existent bathrobe) by Marks and Spencer online. how typical. The CS lady I spoke to specifically told me that my account will NOT be charged the £8, she told me herself that she was taking it off there and then when I spoke to her!

have emailed them since, let's see what excuse they'll have

There's a really nice Duckboard in the sale now - code 02226927. It's made from coconut wood, and says reduced from £15 to £7.
  • Marks and Spencers are nearly as bad as Staples for online ordering.
After persevering with the website,I placed 2 orders using the free p&p code, this was not taken off either order on the confirmation e-mail,so had to chase them up to have it taken off.
Now they e-mail me to say they don't have 2 of the items from one order, but are sending me the other item, and guess what, they have put the p&p back on.

My stuff has arrived from M&S Woo!
I ordered 2 red fleece blankets code T350309, price £15 each, looking at the tag £60 and they are large :o
1 Chenille twist cube - pink which turns out to fuschia so be warned, T368616, £12, looking at the tag £50 :o
    4 essential towels orange (2 different sizes) T361900, £2 each was £8 and £3 each was £12,
Egyptian cotton flat sheet double T351553A, £7 was £40. Fitted sheet double T351552A, £7 was £30 and duvet cover t351550 £12 was £50. All in plum (dark purple) and a 280 thread count, no idea what that means. I'm completely ignorant on such things.
Finally a kids ludo rug - T474605L, not sure how much this was as yet but it was £24. I'll let you know when I unwrap it. The only thing missing is a small chest, if they can't deliver that on saturday I might cancel it. I'm very impressed with the quality and service so far. I wouldn't like to work for M&S packing department, ever order you pack has your name on it. Just say you made a mistake

I've ordered several times from the website now. It fell over completely on 20% Thursday, but the sale was extended to Friday afternoon.

I've had all my deliveries promptly and containing all the items I expected. When I've had the need to call customer services, I've found them to be pretty helpful.

I got a non-stick saucepan (20cm) that was £6.40 on 20% day but the tag said £32! And it's still reduced to £8 now!

I think I might have to place another order... ;)

  • So far I have spent about £250 on goods that would have totted up to about £1100 of I had paid full price! I am now on first name terms with the delivery man!

The site is trying at times, but well worth persevering with for the bargains, have done pretty much all my christmas shopping using the site, so everyone is going to think i have spent a fortune on them!

Looking forward to january for the next sale, but still check the website every couple of days or so incase there are any further reductions.

I am going to have to wean myself off it!

I must keep away from this thread. Oh the thing I forgot to mention about those chenille cubes is they are filled with beans, so they are very cheap bean bags. And that nest of tables that was £24 has gone back up to £99 :o

    Hi raeble
Could you let me know the size of the cube please?
    :)
