Someone please help me. In May I offered my endowment for sale because I want to move to Spain before end of September. I accepted an offer from Integrity[The TEP Factory] and assumed things would proceed fairly rapidly, well they haven't. So,I decided that ,becuse time was running out,I'd just cash it in with Friends Prov. When I tried I was told I couldn't because Integrity had been assigned MY policy. So I rang Integrity who said I had to pay them £50 to release MY policy to me. I did this,by paying £50 cash directly into their Bank Account at a branch of their Bank. The bank staff said this sum would be credited immediately so I rang Integrity to tell them this, only to be told they wouldn't even check till the following day. Two days later I rang Friends Prov to see if Integrity had let them know my policy was mine again, but they hadn't.
Today I've rung Integrity who said they've faxed Friends yesterday and promised to fax them again this morning. Well, they still haven't faxed Friends Prov and I'm at my wits end now becuse Integrity are still assigned my policy AND they also have my 50 quid!!! Why are they delaying? What can I do to get them to contact Friends Prov? Please help....someone.

Threaten Friends Provident with a complaint to the FOS. That might speed things along.FOSman :beer:0

Friends Prov wont give a care if you do as firstly, you cannot go to the FOS without putting a complaint into FP first, secondly, its an administration and not an advice issue and thirdly, FP are not at fault so why complain to them?
FP are correctly refusing to pay you the funds due to the assignment.
Integrity should be authorised and regulated by the FSA so put in a written complaint to them. Although its an admin complaint, it should still be dealt with in a timely manner.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Thats true, but you don't need a response to go to the FOS. So long as it has been 8 weeks after you complain, then you can take the matter to the FOS.dunstonh wrote:secondly, its an administration and not an advice issue
Not true. You can complain about administrative problems or errors or unreasonable delays, especially if they have lead to a financial loss, or even distress and inconvenience.dunstonh wrote:and thirdly, FP are not at fault so why complain to them?

I do agree on this point. A letter to the FSA would not hurt.FOSman :beer:0
