Debt consolidation mortgage

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone can help me. I currently live with my ex-partner and we're looking to sell the house. The equity would cover a loan we have but I also have credit cards I'd like to clear.

Is it possible to get a mortgage for say £90k and extra cash to pay off my £25k credit card debt.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your post is ever so slightly confusing, you say you're selling but then you say you want a remortgage? Do you mean you're looking to buy your ex partners share of the property from them.....

To answer your question, you will not be able to borrow more than the value of the house, its likely to be a max of 90-95% dependent on your credit history.
