I Want to move the approved mortgage?

Hi, I have an approved mortgage on a house I was going to buy a month or so ago. All surveys and checks are complete and I have an offer of a 4.99% fixed with no fee (long story guys re the no fee). The offer is in place on the condition I complete by 20th Aug
I did not go through with the sale due to house price slumps in the area.
Anybody been in this position and would it be possible to keep the deal, simply cange the house - I appreciate I would have to pay for another valuation on another house.
Welcome your thoughts...

It was about 5 -6 years ago now that a similar thing happened to us we put an offer in on a house got the morgage approved ,survey & searches were all done then we lost the house .We found another house pretty quickly so we rang up the morgage company and they just asked the new address of the new house and the process started again .We had a date when it had to be completed they extended that date for us as i can remember i think they said they could extend date for an extra 6 months .
Just give them a ring if the deal is still on at present i would imagine you would still get it0
