state pension help

hi my mother is selling her home and going in to sheltered houseing
she will have 2 pay for her houseing costs due 2 her selling her home but will she still get her statepension when she sells her home shell get over £170.000
for her home
help please

    No amount of savings has any effect on the amount of state pension she is entitled to.

  • Unless she is currently getting Pension Credit. If she is, she should contact the DWP and be reassessed ... likely that any current Pension Credit will reduce and possibly be withdrawn completely.

    Check all the papers she has on her State Pension to see if there is any reference to an addition for Pension Credit.
