Big poster in the window of my local KwikSave. 1000's of prices reduced, stock clearance. Items have a big yellow sticker on them giving original price and reduced price. For example gazebo reduced from £14.99 to £7.99, backpack from £9.99 to £4.99. Items in dump bins near the tills included wine reduced by £1-£2 a bottle and Vimto cordial 2 litres for 99p.

edirectory have several from £29 with reasonable shipping - my fave is http://www.shop.edirectory.co.uk/pf/pages/moreinfoa.asp?recordid=1296758&cid=880Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.0 -
Similar thing in our local one - which has now closed to be rebranded Somerfield. I expect the same thing is happening to yours.0

How does Somerfield compare to KwikSave? All I tend to buy from KwikSave are their special offers, I do my main shop at ASDA.0

Kwiksave & Somerfiled are one and the same. Somerfield tend to be larger stores with bigger stock ranges. Have brilliant offers and don't seem as tacky as Kwicksave. One further tip - Somerfield have a lot of offers that can only be taken advantage of by using their 'clubcard'. You can pick one up instore and use it straight away. It does not need to be registed. I have been using mine for months and months and still haven't got round to registering it, mostly because I can't see any extra benefits for doing so. Another good thing about their 'card' is that it comes with 2 small keyring options. Great for people like me who always forget their cards.0

It does have its advantages of registering. If you use it alot, when it comes to your birthday they usually send you a £5 wine voucher. Other than that, thats it.
They are the only people that gain from registering when they use the information for marketing.
Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life.0 -
Actually, thats probably another reason I've not registered it. The same reason that I don't have a Tesco club card for!0

I don't get any spam marketing from Tesco, just tick the box on the form...I got almost £30 off my shop this weekend and as Martin said in his last weekly email you can get even more by using the vouchers to buy holidays etc. Can't understand people who leave money in the hands of the big companies when they want to give it to you??0
