Sainsburys wine- half price on selected bottles

Hello everyone- great site! been reading it for about a week now, it's great!
OH loves a red wine from sainsburys its called "OLD VINES GARNACHA"- its usually £5.99 a bottle- from 25th to 29th August its £2.99....... Oh is quite fussy when it comes to her plonk and she reckons this is lurvly!!! :beer: (info from a flyer in the post today). Off to get a case for Xmas time. :j

The Spanish wine concerned is Campaneo Old Vines Garnacha. I had a case last time it was on half price, and can confirm it is lovely stuff. It will still be the same vintage, too, 2004, so it is fruity rather than oaked. I shall be getting a case tomorrow.

Incidentally, has anyone noticed that Tesco have upped the discount from 5% to 10% when you buy 6 bottles. I got some of the Kumala Zenith which is reduced from £7.99 to £3.99, and with discount comes to £3.59. The Merlot Pinotage Shiraz (14%) is excellent for the money.

Pleased to hear that the Kumala is on offer again, would not buy it at £7-99, but always buy a case when it is on offer, must get down to Tesco to use another of the "Joey" vouchers, 6 bottles for £3.09 each. mmmmm....
