Men's Formal Suits Matalan £30!!!

When shopping with the other half for a suit for his work we came across some in Matalan. £20 for the Jacket and £10 for trousers, making it a total £30 for the lot!

They had various colours ie black, grey and brownish one i think, you could also buy the waistcoats to go with it for £10, the trousers have been washing up well and the material is quite reasonable for the price, compared to tesco and asda's which is just cheap tatty material that everybody looks and knows exactly how much you paid for it.. Lol

Hope this helps any Man out there in the need of a suit

Littlewoods Direct have washable wool/poly/lycra suits in their sale currently for £42 (£27 for the jacket and £15 for the trousers), in grey pinstripe. They are permacrease as well.

I picked up a jacket and 3 pairs of trousers and the quality is as at least as good as £100-£150 M&S suits IMHO (I've got those!)

Trousers are AK883 and jacket is AM884.

There is also a raincoat AS245

    (on Marshall Ward as well).

If they don't fit or you don't like them, you've only got the £3.50 delivery charge to lose).

New customers or those receiving valid discount codes in the post could get a good discount off these as well!

I can assure you that most guys who wear suits to work will spot anything under £300 a mile off.

May be the 10% that hang out at the right joints!
I can assure you that most guys would notice what another guys wearing at 1 metre away. However they would spot top totty a mile away but probably wouldn't be thinking about how much their clothes cost!
Really... I think your over estimating the average bloke!

will take a wander over to matalan for a gander, i need to buy or rent a suit for my 15 year old sons prom (how american! ) next month and i dont want to spend a fortune as he`s still growing. it might be cheaper to buy this rather than rent a suit.

Well my man needed one for training and really i wasn't spending a fortune so maybe some people out there think that this is just what their looking for. Not everyone wants to re-mortgage their house so they can just buy a suit, theres me thinking women were vain but i think men are 10 times worse :rotfl:

I too have bought a suit from Matalan for my son as he has a job interview and he looks fab in it.

He wanted to look smart but i wasn't willing to spend loads on something i knew he wouldn't get a lot of wear out of.

I find most Matalan stuff is good quality and reasonably priced.

i bought a £30 suit from matalan a few weeks ago- it looks to be well made, but quality isnt the over-riding factor for me, i bought it to keep in the wardrobe, (i know this may sound a little morbid...but) in case some of my elderly relatives pass away. i`m not a `be prepared` kind of guy normally but finances being what they are atm i thought i would spend £30 now in order to save me being caught unexpected and having to pay £100, this sounds awful, but if say my gran were to pass away, i would have to buy flowers etc- not a problem- but if that were in a month where i also had to tax/mot my car then finances would be extremely stretched and i have never and would never turn up to a funeral without a suit..... and the old suit is looking to be losing the battle to keep up with the few extra pounds i gained since i injured my back.
