House valued mortgage offered now what?

hi i phoned up c&g today and was told that the valuation report came back ok and that i should have the mortgage offer papers in the post and should receive them by monday. Can anyone tell me what happens next, i assume i sign them and send them back, when can i exchange contracts? the seller wants it dont asap and i have no chain.

think next step is solicitors to sort out all the legal stuff

just wondered if i could ask wneh your valuation was done? ours was done on friday so im awaiting the results, dont know whether to wait a bit longer or just ring and ask?

They valued it on tuesday and they were told over the phone that the property was ok, the report followed within 24hrs and within 48hrs of valuation i had an offer

if your solicitor has done all searches and everything else is done it doesn't take long.

mine took a week from receiving mortgage offer as long as everyone agrees on completion date.
