All,
I update property bee using the "24 hour email update" system.. whereby I receive an email every day from rightmove and manually click the 4-5 pages of new/updated listings... this way i catch the reductions in my price/area range.
Last two days I have noticed quite a dramatic increase in new/updated houses... quite a few more reductions and alot more new houses coming on the market.
Im now getting 9-10 pages per day of property listings... maybe this is just a coincidence but with the Halifax -2.5% MoM warning do you think people are panicking?
Or is this 'spring bounce'? :money:

there's a lot of EA tinkering that goes on to generate the bumps
adding punctuation to a description repeatedly etcIt's a health benefit ...0 -
it gets it bumped as an 'updated listing' which then gets sent out in the email alerts without actually updating the listing (who's going to notice an extra full stop for example)
some estate agents are worse than others for tricks like this (most EA's don't do it)It's a health benefit ...0 -
Just done my usual search of properties listed in the last 7 days. One postcode usually has 50-60 new listings, but today has 107!
Been tracking this postcode since the start of the year and the previous highest was 67 on 9th Feb.0 -
I'll be uploading 2 weeks worth of data at some point tomorrow night

I'll throw another one in here. EAs sometimes have a "sale" to try and drum up some interest in their stock. At least 2 in my local area have done it at least once in the last 2 years. On Rightmove and Property Bee it will show as a price cut for a few weeks then a price rise, usually back to the original price but not always. e.g. Was £190,000 cut to £182,000, back on at £187,000.A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Reeds Rains are one of the ones who did it round here.

Loads have come up as new in my area on RM - ones that have been for sale for ages.
Superior have got a double page in the property paper advertising open days for quite a few houses in the area, changing the wording on RM to show this as well. The houses have all been put on as OIE, with the prices slightly lower than they were before.
Spring bounce, anyone?
