is this available on Argos website? or is it instore only?
i couldn't find the A85 on argos website somehow... and the Cat number doesn't work either0 -
Hi it is a nice camera - I haven't had chance to play with it in any great detail but compared to my phone the results are brilliant, especially on the photo sized paper.
But I paid £170 for mine just a month or two back
I don't know if Argos still do it, but when I purchased you could get a official Canon carry case and rechargeable battery pack for half price (£20). A recommended purchase!
P.S. It was on a shelf behind the counter of my local store for £140 today, so don't know where you are getting the £99 price from0 -
It's not available through the website mate. However, if you ring the check & reserve number (0870 600 10 10) you will get a confirmation of the price and availability at a chosen store. I tried two local to me - both of which had it in stock.
Johntea -> Maybe they hadn't updated the price? The offer was featured in todays paper (Daily Mail).0 -
or is it possible to buy it in a store without ringing? (assuming that i was lucky and that store has some in stock?)0
-
I think it would be possible. Because if they are allowing you to reserve the camera by ring and reserve then you should in theory be able to get one in store even though it is not available on the website. They may not have gotten to putting it on the website just yet.0

You're just ringing up to see if it's in stock at your local store. You can reserve it there and then or you can go down to the store (assuming no one beats you to it

Yeah. Since it's only a 5 day offer (and the camera's now a discontinued model), that's basically saying for those stores where it's not in stock - tough luck; for stores where it is - enjoy...

This is a fabulous camera for the price. Not so long ago this would have cost around twice this amount. Argos have it reduced from £229 to £99 :j
Hope this helps someone.
