  • wont bother as its not a mains or rechargable unit

just think when you need to use it you need to plug into the cars cigerette socket and have trailling wires whilst you inflate the tyres on your car.

over time it will seriously damage your cigarette socket which on a fancy car will cost some to get sorted!

i don't think trailing wires are much of an issue considering the car will be stationary! thanks OP

How will just using the cigarette socket damage it?

Was thinking about getting one for emergencies to put in the back of the car whilst out driving, so cigarette lighter is the only option really, as for damage to the socket, shouldn't really do any i don't think as most people use them for there sat nav and they don't really do harm to it..

Strange you think this when you think cars need never be serviced and only ever have an MOT

I personally use a footpump as it's just more simple.

You can get basic ( i.e. non automatic ) 12v electric pumps with gauge at around £3 or £4 from Home Bargains etc
