10x bonus - but is it enforcable

Just had a letter from my employer announcing details of my annual bonus which was 10x more than I was expecting.
So I think either they added a zero on by mistake or I will seriously need to update my signature below :rotfl:
So with a signed letter from the relevant Director I am tempted to have a go at getting them to honour it - anyone got any relevant anecdotes or even better case law!!
Its given me a good laugh anyway but I like a challenge and the rewards are good (we're talking 5 figures instead of 4) so any ideas welcomed!!

I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Smiling and waving and looking so fine

I have no idea whether the letter could be enforced, but my instinct is that you are on pretty shaky ground. I think you'd need legal advice ... but at the end of the day, do you really want to upset your employers that much?0

I doubt you would have a leg to stand on Mark, sounds like a typo.

I wouldn't mention it at all, just in case the typo continues into your bank account.0

They'll notice it eventually though, and you will have to pay it back. So if you do get the money, don't go frittering it away on sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Be honest.
Go in to the boss and say thank you very much for the bonus, you didnt realise that the company valued you so much.
You are delighted with the amount and have therefore booked a holiday on your credit card which doesnt need paid until after pay day !!
Wait for response ...0 -
