Scottish Amicable Flexidowment ???

Hi

My wife started one of these in 1991 and we are a bit unsure of its performance against a standard endowment.
Is it worth keeping or cashing in ?
It seems to consist of 15 seperate 1 pound a month policy's that can be cashed in after 10 years on a scaled sum assured either seperately or together but are supposed to run until 2015.

Its current cash in value is £6146 as a total of all 15. There no life assurance tied in, So what does anybody think of its performance. Is it for the chop or leave in place as a emergency nest egg :rotfl:
