Freezing tinned beans?

Just wondered if you can freeze things like tinned borlotti or kidney beans - I'm on my own, and if I make a stew with different types of beans, I'm left with lots of half tins.
If it's ok, I could either freeze the leftovers, or do several batches and frezze the stew - what do you guys think?

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
