Tesco VAT Free Weekend

This Saturday/Sunday/Monday Tesco are selling CD's (Not sure about games/dvds) minus the VAT instore! :)

    Actually its from today (Friday) to Monday. All CDs, games and DVDs without VAT
  • These are possible misprices
    I was getting some "free" cheese at customer services when a chap had a ps2 game with a sticker on for £7 somethng he was charged £9.99 he got his money back due to the refund policy

    Is this offer online or instore. I just went to tesco today and there was nothing to the effect of vat free there?

    This is instore only. For this weekend only I think

    I looked at their dvd's online decided what I'd like then went to get them in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes :p

    they have a selection of dvds 2 for 10 pounds I got 4 of these.

    Expecting to pay 20 pounds less the VAT = 17.02
    i.e. 4.25 per dvd

    Which is good compared to online prices (except for First Knight which is available from HMV online for about 3.75 inc post)

    What I actually was charged at the till was 16.36
    i.e. 4.09 per dvd :j

    they subtracted the 3.96 on the multibuy = correct
    then they took off 3.64 for vat = incorrect :rotfl:
