I just wanna cry, i am sooooo fed up with everything, its not funny.
Where in debt, obviously, like my sig says. But my OH is unemployed and has been for 2 mths now.
Our mortgage ins wont pay out on him because we were only 60 days into the policy, it has to be 90 days before you can claim.
Payplan cover my payments wont pay out because OH has his probation period extended from 3 mths to 6 mths, so they see it as though he knew his job was in danger.
Buildings insurance wont pay out on a cracked toilet basin, the crack has resulted from a damaged piece of porclean that was present when we bought a year and a half ago. The crack goes completely around the whole basin, from one end of the porclean to the other. They will only pay out, say if it was damaged as a result of DIY (thats the example they gave me).
So still having to pay a full mortgage on 1 wage, having to pay token payments to all creditors and having to use a toilet that is leaking all the time and thus has damaged the flooring (carpet).
Have no money anywhere

Hi Diamond
big hugs to you.
I can't offer anything constructive but we're all here to listen, vent at will!
You will get through this eventually, it's just a dark moment right now

Thanks, i wasn't looking for help as such, just wanted to type my anger out.
The issue with the cracked toilet was the last straw basically, to make me fed up. I can't live with a horrible, cracked, leaking toilet, all because the previous owner patched up the piece of porclean that was damaged. I mean it did the trick, at least for the year and half we've lived here, might of been longer that that when they used to live here.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Understand re the toilet...was in a house 10 years ago with a cracked base that had been patched up with putty or something for about 10 years before that....problem with this is it's tempting to patch it up and then ahem, "drop something on it and smash it as part of DIY"...I used to know people who would...not well though!
Agree you can cope with most things but some things are just too far!!For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
I suppose you could try another patch if you can't replace it and it is causing damage.
Not into DIY, but came across this. Someone else may have an alternative solution.

Hiya
We used waterproof sealant (in a big tube, from Homebase) to repair a HOLE I smashed into our toilet basin!! (Dropped a glass bottle of aftershave down it - hole was literally 50p size). It's sealed itself perfectly for 2 years now. Do some both inside and outside and it'll hold fine

Thats the annoying part, we used waterproof sealant on the piece of porclean that was damaged (you could take it out and put it back in). We thought it was best putting sealant on the inside and outside as it could get worse.
Doing that, some how ended up making it develop a crack across the whole basin. As funny as this image will probably look in your mind, as the crack goes completely around the basin, im worried one day it will just give way and then we'll have a lovely job on our hands of water everywhere.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Is there a salvage yard near you that may have a toilet from an old house that you could get very cheap and have fitted cheaply?

Or ask on your local freecycle site, I bet someone will have a old toilet bowl going spare.0 -
CD
have you looked for another loo bowl on freecycle? I thought that you had found one previously, but did it not work?
Alternatively, raid a skip if you have any near you.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
What part of the country are you in, my partner has one sitting in his garden (green though) just waiting to go to the tip with it.
